Celebrations in the Department

Freshers' Party

Each year Department organizes the Freshers' party to welcome the newly joined BLISc students. Each year, many students (both men & women) from all over the country & abroad come to join this Department.

The main objective behind organizing Freshers' Party is to make the BLISc students (freshers) feel comfortable and allow them to mix up with their senior MLISc students, get rid of hesitation, and talk to the meritorious students, including research scholars. Furthermore, Freshers' party gives much exposure to newly joined BLISc students in the Department to perform their creativity, exhibit their talent and get a similar experience from their seniors.

Festival Celebrations

DULSA organizes different festivals, especially Diwali, Holi, Id, Christmas and other festivals... in the Department premises.

Farewell Party

Department organizes a Farewell Party in the Department every year. This is the closing celebration of each academic session. Farewell is celebrated to bid adieu to MLISc students and wish them to step into a new realm of life. It is also a commemoration to celebrate all the good times together and wish the best for the future.

Annual Day

The Annual Day of our Department is an occasion to display the balance sheet to record and celebrate achievements during the preceding year. Awards and rewards have been the tradition of our Department for years to motivate the hardworking and meritorious students of top positions secured in their first semester. Distributing prizes to two students who scored the highest marks in the first semester of BLISc and MLISc courses for academic excellence.

Annual day is the right occasion to felicitate students who have cleared their UGC NET-JRF and got jobs in various organizations during the academic year.
