Keeping in view the technological development the countries like United Kingdom , Australia and Canada have amended recently, their copyright laws in order to protect the interest of creators and authors. It examines in detail the new Singapore copyright legislation modeled upon the Australian Copyright Act 1968 which retains the principle adopted under the UK Copyright Act 1956 dealing with the challenges posed by new technologies under the heading computer software, photocopying and home taping for the protection of the right of the copyright owner.
