Attempts to assess the comparative quality and quantity of the working librarians of affiliated colleges of some Universities of Punjab, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh (MP), to serve as a basis for laying down policy on manpower development. Besides studying the characteristic of the work-force the analysis tries to highlight the factors on which standards of library services are based. Provides a perspective of the conditions in which the college librarians are working. Points out certain critical areas, which need immediate attention of educationists, administrators and professional associations.
